Some pea soup to go with your lululemon?

I blogged about the evils of yoga some time ago, but apparently the Catholic church is getting really serious about it now. Jason Pitzi-Waters' coverage of recent antipaganism includes gems like this quote from a priest on the subject of people most in need of exorcism:

Typical cases, he said, include people who turn away from the church and embrace New Age therapies, alternative religions or the occult. Internet addicts and yoga devotees are also at risk, he said.

This cracks me up! Except that it isn't funny. Except that it is. I mean, really people, who believes this crap?

Do check out The Wild Hunt. Jason always does a great job of covering news of Pagan interest.

Holy crap! Doesn't even begin to describe my scentiments.
This will be my first time commenting on a blog and in this case I'm totally speechless. I honest didn't believe people like this "priest guy" even exsisted in 2008.
Thanks for the heads-up.
Love your blog...read it all the time.

And I'm sure this has been covered to death at The Wild Hunt, but as if a Catholic priest has any business talking about OTHER spiritualities bringing evil into people's lives, hearts and minds. He should read his own bible. Jesus' parable about taking the beam out of your own eye before worrying about the mote in someone else's comes instantly to mind. I guess he just "forgot" that part.

Wow - yes, even in this day and time, fear still runs amuck. This is when the challenge of "namaste" sets in. Do we TRULY see the divine light and spark in everyone! There's where the work is!
