Just in case you were wondering . . .

blog readability test

What were you reading in Junior High? I remember reading Watership Down and Anna Karenina, but I was a peculiarly precocious reader.

UPDATE: Today I graduated - yay! The readability test now says that Blogickal has a High School reading level.

How extraordinary! I got Jr. High School, too. But Slade's site (sladeroberson.com) for some reason requires a Genius level! Slade, man, you gotta start writing so that people can understand you...

hehe

I seem to be in Jr High too. What did you do to move to High School? I guess I need to use bigger, more impressive words.

Oh - and I'm still reading Watership Down! It's one of my all time favorites.

Carly, I didn't really do anything, but one day I was curious so I just re-checked and the results had changed.

I have a suspicion that a site's grade level is based on the average length of posts. They'd have to be using a pretty complex algorithm to analyze vocabulary, sentence complexity, etc.
