The state of education in this country is horrible, and poisonous for our country. In my view, poor education caused George W. Bush, and now he's causing more poor education. Either people will wake up and fix our schools (or just walk away from them, to private schools or home schooling) or our democracy will be irrevocably lost. (Note: I think our democracy is already lost, but not irrevocably!)
